Easier Pass-through Installation – VILPE Updates the Selection with the New Click Underlay Seal
VILPE is simplifying its pass-through selection with the new and easy-to-install Click underlay seal. The underlay seal consists of two parts that are pressed together without adhesive mass, which significantly speeds up and simplifies installation. The adhesive mass is therefore no longer included in the product package of Click pass-throughs. The new Click underlay seal will be included in all VILPE pass-through packages, except for XL-sized pass-throughs and felt roof pass-throughs, starting from April 1, 2025.
At the same time, VILPE will discontinue pass-through package codes that include the 2K seal. The 2K seal will only be sold as a separate product. It is particularly recommended for tile roofs and breathable roof-covering sheetings, where achieving water and air tightness is more demanding than usual.
The new VILPE Click underlay seal is an improved version of the discontinued underlay ring (product code 73202). However, existing underlay rings can be used safely, as the product is still fully reliable.
Package update
Additionally, the packaging method for pass-throughs will change: in the future, pass-throughs will be packed in transparent plastic bags. This new packaging method allows products to be inspected without opening the bag, enables multiple products to be packed together for transport, and is more environmentally friendly due to its smaller carbon footprint.
All changes will take effect on April 1, 2025.
